Super star writers!
A huge well done to three of our year 5 and year 6 children who wrote a poem as part of a young writers competition. Their poems impressed the judges so much they will be published in a book! We are very proud of you all! π€©

Science day in class 3! π¦π§π§ͺ
Class 3 have enjoyed learning about changes in materials today in science. We have looked at evaporation and how we could extract salt from salt water. We have looked at which changes are reversible and how we could use this knowledge to rescue Lego figures from a block of ice and melt chocolate again!

Space in year 5 and 6! πππ°β
Class 3 are really enjoying our new space topic! We have made paper mache planets, created some art based on the work of Peter Thorpe, learnt all about the space race and written some fantastic poems about the moon!

Year 5 and 6 participated in a sport hall athletics at Highfields school this week. It was fantastic to see them thoroughly enjoying themselves and getting some impressive scores! Well done all π

Christmas Crafts!
Thanks to all the parents and grandparents that came along to our Christmas craft afternoon! The children enjoyed weaving bowls and making pom poms. So much so they asked to make them again today! We also spent the morning playing party games, enjoying a Christmas quiz and had a visit from Santa! π ππ
